BROOK STREET SHOP was born from a love of hunting for the perfect preloved find.

From a very early age I had a passion for a good ole jumble rumble, elbows ready I became a jumble sale regular in my teens. I would remodel, adapt and make my own clothes (we all recall the 90s 'insert your own flare' flared jeans (If you know you know)!

Today I get real pleasure from finding preloved item for others, sharing the creative joy of a well sourced mint condition second hand item is my goal. Fast throwaway fashion is frightening. Why buy badly made, questionable ethics and unsustainably sourced clothing. For a fraction of the price you can fill your wardrobe with full circle, perfectly preloved, high quality clothing.

Buying secondhand allows you to express your individual style, be creative, save money and, most of all, is ethically sound - at a time when being sustainable is critical.

Don't be part of the problem, be part of the solution. Shop BROOK STREET for fully circular fashion.

Second hand clothes are cheaper - much cheaper. Save the pennies, instead of fast fashion invest in little pleasures - plant seeds, bake a cake, buy a book or simply save it for a rainy day.

Here at BROOK STREET we say; wear your secondhand clothes with pride, tell people they are second hand with joy and give that item the love and attention it deserves.

NEVER NEW, NO WASTE & GREAT TASTE - YOU HAD ME AT PRELOVED - FOR THE LOVE OF SECONDHAND

WRAP & LOVE YOUR CLOTHES

A frightening 336,000 tonnes of used clothing is discarded each year in the UK. For great ideas on how to make changes in how you buy and reuse your clothes check out Love Your Clothes. Launched in 2014, the Love Your Clothes campaign has been developed together with industry organisations to help change the way the UK consumers buy, use and dispose of their clothing.

In addition to making your own choices see what positive changes are being made by the fashion leaders. An industry-led action plan by WRAP called SCAP (sustainable clothing action plan) successfully brought together fashion retailers, charity retailers and textile recyclers to reduce the impacts of clothing consumed in the UK. This action plan enabled the industry to reduce the carbon, water and waste impacts of its clothing products.
